Latest report released

In advance of next Monday’s town council-in-committee meeting, staff have released the 371-page report on the Bay Beach zoning amendment. You can download the entire 24 megabyte file from the town website or download the individual component reports from this page.
The main report, CDS-08-10, is only 112 kilobytes and 24 pages. Contained in the town’s version are these appendices:

Appendix 1 — The location map.
Appendix 2 — CDS-02-10 — the staff report from Jan. 25. It’s 110 pages and 8 MB by itself.
Appendix 3 — Planning consultant’s report by Ron Palmer. (Feb. 18)
Appendix 4– Proposed site plan.
Appendix 5 — Proposed ownership plan map.
Appendix 6 — Minutes of Public Meeting held Jan. 25.
Appendix 7 — Report on parking review (Feb. 16)
Appendix 8 — Written comments from public. These are not available separately but are contained in the report posted on the town website.
Appendix 9 — Written comments from the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. (Feb. 17)
Appendix 10 — Response to public comments by Ed Fothergill, planner for the Molinaro Group. (Feb. 11)
Appendix 11 — Draft by-law to amend the zoning.
Appendix 12 — Renderings of the proposed development.

  1. This report clearly states that Crystal Beach is in a state of disrepair. To reject a plan that will address every issue, is to live in denial. Unfortunately, people in Crystal Beach that don't recognize the obvious are living in the past.To oppose change only defeats their own existence.
